Aromas of rosewater and cinnamon spice. The palate has medium sweetness and the finish is lightly spiced with nutmeg and cinnamon.
The fruit for this wine was all grown at our Campbell Brook vineyard in Hawkes Bay. The wine was made in our Riverview winery where the grapes were destemmed and lightly crushed to the press where a few hours of skin contact time was allowed. The juice was then pressed to a stainless steel fermenter and inoculated with VL1 yeast. Cooling to 11°C gave a long, slow ferment to preserve the aromatic characters.
The wine was stabilised and transferred to our Katikati winery for light fining and filtration with bottling on 7th September 2016.
