Inspired by the neighbouring Pacific Islands, this wine range compliments the abundance of fresh fruit and fish the islands are famous for.
The label features a Nikau Palm which is endemic to New Zealand.
On the nose this wine shows lifted strawberry and cherry aromas with a hint of wild flowers and cream. The palate is clean, fresh and lively with crisp acidity and a very slight sweetness. The delicious strawberries and cream finish is long and memorable. This wine is drinking well now but can be cellared.
The grapes for this wine come from three of our Hawke’s Bay Vineyards – Campbell’s Brook, Kinross and Riverview.
The grapes were machine harvested and transported to our Riverview winery where they were pressed off immediately to limit colour extraction. The juice was settled then racked off for fermentation using a variety of yeasts. The resulting wine was transported to our Katikati winery where it was bottled over a number of bottlings.
