Mills Reef Estate Hawke’s Bay Syrah 2020
In addition to being listed as a top-value wine and receiving four starts, this wine was also featured as their Buy of the Week.
After a brief cold soak to extract colour and flavour the wine was fermented in stainless steel tanks for 28 days before being pressed to barrel where it matured for 14 months in French oak barrels (25% new).
Medium-bodied syrah from an excellent vintage. Vibrant plum, dark chocolate, black pepper, floral/violet and subtle oak flavours. Excellent entry level that punched above its weight in this outstanding vintage.

Aromas of vanilla, almond and straw blossom combine with a rich full palate, creamy texture and fine effervescence.
