Wine Review

Aromas and flavours of peaches and sweet red apple, vanilla spice and freshly whipped cream. Oak aromas and flavours layer in a fine tannin texture and mix of new and older wood. Medium+ weight and intensity, a classic bouquet and palate. Best drinking from 2023 through 2025.

Cam Douglas MS

Silken-textured chardonnay with lemon curd, grapefruit/citrus, spicy oak, vanilla and a backbone of gentle tannins that promote a drying and lengthy finish. A hint of sweetness balances vibrant acidity.

Bob Campbell

Food Pairings

Pairs beautifully with prawn dumplings or a risotto dish.

Vineyards and Winemaking

The grapes for this fine wine were grown predominantly from our Bridge Pa vineyard, where the vines sit in rich alluvial soils, in the celebrated Triangles wine region of Hawkes Bay. The weather over the growing season was excellent, with a hot dry summer allowing the fruit to ripen perfectly for harvesting on the 10th March, upon reaching optimum flavour profile and balance.

The juice was fermented to wine in a stainless steel tank, then put to maturation for ten months, with a small portion treated to 10% new French oak seasoning. The final wine blend was then treated to a light fining and filtering before being bottled under screwcap on the 11th of May 2022.
